The Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND); the body that oversees this scheme, has said that a total of 36 state-owned tertiary institutions have been onboarded for the students’ loan scheme. Thus, students of these institutions are now free to apply for the loan effective July 7, 2024. NELFUND made this available on Sunday, via its official X handle (formerly Twit­ter).

The tweet reads, “The management of NELFUND is pleased to announce that students enrolled in the following 36 state-owned tertiary institutions can now apply for student loans effective to­day, 7th July 2024.

“The management of these institu­tions have successfully submitted their students’ data to the NELFUND Student Verification System. We urge all other state-owned tertiary institutions to submit their complete student data to the NELFUND Student Verification System timely to enable their students to benefit from the scheme.” ­

    1. Your school should furnish NELFUND with the necessary requirement(chiefly student data) first. Then you can be sure, that with time you’ll get the loan.
