Candidates can now access their results following the conclusion of the 2024 UTME. The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) announced the release of the 2024 UTME results on Monday. The examination, held from Friday, April 19th, to Monday, April 26th, 2024, it held across 118 examination towns and 774 centers nationwide.

Professor Ishaq Oloyede, the Registrar of JAMB, unveiled the results during a press conference on Monday, April 29th 2024, at the board’s headquarters in Bwari, Abuja.

How to Check JAMB Results 2024 Online

The official JAMB website is the primary platform for accessing UTME results, allowing candidates to print their results slips. Here’s a step-by-step guide:

1.  Open a web browser and navigate to the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board’s eFacility portal at https://efacility.jamb.gov.ng/login.

 

2. Provide your email address and password used during registration to login

3. Once you enter the required details, click the “Check UTME Results” button. If your UTME scores have been released, they should be displayed on the screen.

However, ensure a stable internet connection before checking JAMB results online to avoid disruptions.
Also, if you encounter any error messages, it may indicate that your result isn’t yet available or there’s a service downtime due to high traffic. In such cases, you have to wait for a while.

How to Check JAMB Results 2024 via SMS

JAMB provides a convenient SMS option for candidates, parents, or guardians without immediate access to a computer or the internet. Here’s how to proceed:

1. Launch your text messaging application on your mobile phone.

2. Type “RESULT” (all caps) followed by your JAMB Registration Number.

3. Send a message to either 55019 or 66019; the official JAMB result will be sent to the number you used in registration.

4. JAMB will reply with an SMS containing your UTME scores for each subject.

Below are the sample messages you would likely receive when checking your UTME results via SMS

  • Candidates with results will get a message such as: “Dear (candidate’s name, candidate’s Registration number). Your 2024 UTME Result: (Result details).”
  • If a candidate’s result is withheld, the candidate will receive a Result Withheld message.
  • If a candidate uses a phone number that was not used for the JAMB registration, he/she will receive a message stating: This phone number was not used for registration.”
  • Absent candidates will receive a message stating: CANDIDATE ABSENT
  • If a candidate is absent and his/her registration number is also cancelled, he/she will be notified appropriately.
  • Candidates given the benefit of the doubt will receive a message stating: Result withheld pending the upload of clarifications/document required from you.”
  • Candidates who gained unauthorized access to the examination hall will receive a message stating: “Invalid Entrance into the Exam Hall”

Note that ₦50 will be deducted from your mobile phone airtime. Ensure you have sufficient balance before attempting to check JAMB results via SMS.
