2024 Junior WAEC Timetable…

We present all students in their third year of Junior Secondary School in the year 2024 Junior WAEC Timetable.

To transit from the ninth year of the basic education class to the senior secondary, the BECE is conducted for candidates in their third year of the Junior Secondary School. While each state of the federation and the FCT conducts the BECE for its candidates, NECO conducts the BECE for Federal Unity Colleges, Armed Forces Secondary Schools and other Federal establishments operating Secondary schools.

Private Secondary schools also take part in the NECO BECE provided they are permitted by their State Ministries of Education. Twenty-two subjects are administered at the BECE level. A candidate is expected to sit for a minimum of ten subjects and a maximum of thirteen. A candidate is deemed to have passed the BECE if he/she has passed six subjects, including English and Mathematics.

The 2024 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) is set to begin on Monday, 15th May, 2024 and end on Monday, 23rd May, 2024. Below is the comprehensive timetable for the examination:

Information about Junior Waec 2024/2025 in more detail

Schools and candidates have to take the following into consideration:

  • In situations in which the timing guidelines on the exam paper differ from those in this timetable, those on the exam paper have to be followed.
  • Practical in Business Studies and Basic Science & Technology (BST) ought to be administered in sets where there is a large number of candidates is large, and the equipment is inadequate. However, the practical examination shouldn’t last longer than 5.00 pm. Business studies can be conducted on computers.
  • All blind candidates must use the NECO-supplied OBR Tailored Braille Sheet, and albinos will be given 30 minutes more time.
  • Electronic communication devices such as programmable calculators, mobile phones, IPADS, tablets, smart wristwatches, glasses, pens, and other similar devices are strictly prohibited from being brought into the examination room.
