LBS to Host International Students during the 2017 Global Network for Advanced Management (GNAM) Week
GNAM 2017
Lagos Business School (LBS) will be hosting MBA students from Yale School of Management in the United States, IPADE Business School, Mexico; Fudan Business School, China; and Sauder Business School, Canada, during the Global Network for Advanced Management (GNAM) Week coming up on Monday, the 16th of October to Friday, the 20th of October, 2017.
The students will join the MBA 16 class of the Lagos Business School in taking an elective on “Selling Strategies for Consumer Markets: Perspectives from Africa’s Largest Economy”. The programme is intended to expose the participants to the existing strategies and trends that drive the sales in the consumer markets within Africa’s largest economy.
LBS intends to broaden the international mindset and exposure of the students of GNAM partner schools in regards to buying and selling practices in developing markets, particularly in Africa. The Global Network Week gives MBA students the opportunity to pursue intensive study at another network school, in a focused mini-course that leverages the perspectives, programs, and faculty expertise of that school. Alongside their counterparts from elsewhere in the network, students attend classes, tour local businesses, consult with small business owners; and have interactive sessions with experts focused on finding solutions to current business problems.
GNAM was launched in 2012 and it consists of 28 leading business schools from diverse regions, countries, cultures, and economies in different phases of development. Representing a shift from traditional partnership models of business school collaboration, the Global Network enables the development of innovative initiatives that leverage the comparative advantages. Leveraging network efficiencies, utilizing new technologies, building strong institutional and personal relationships, and operating with a minimum of bureaucracy, the Global Network is having a transformational effect on students, member schools, management education, and beyond.
