You must hold a <strong>NERD clearance certificate<\/strong> before you can register (NYSC: &ldquo;No NERD clearance, no NYSC registration&rdquo;), and your name must be on your institution&rsquo;s <a href=\"https:\/\/schoolnews.com.ng\/nysc\/approved-senate-list\/\">Senate-approved list<\/a>. The Batch B Stream 2 camp ended on 25 August 2026. Batch C camp dates are <strong>not yet official<\/strong>. NYSC announced on 28 August 2026 that online registration runs <strong>Monday 7 &ndash; Sunday 13 September 2026<\/strong>. Senate lists were uploaded in late August; the registration window is the stage running now. The most recent camp &mdash; <strong>2026 Batch B Stream 2<\/strong> &mdash; ran <strong>5&ndash;25 August 2026<\/strong> in all 36 states and the FCT.<\/p>\n<p>NYSC has <strong>not published Batch C camp dates<\/strong>. Blogs are circulating 23 September &ndash; 13 October 2026 for Stream 1 from a &ldquo;tentative&rdquo; timetable; treat that as planning guidance only until NYSC posts it on the portal.<\/p>\n<p>What to do now:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Registering for Batch C this week?<\/strong> Get your <strong>NERD clearance<\/strong> first (see below) &mdash; the portal will not let you complete registration without it. Then confirm your name is on your institution&rsquo;s <a href=\"https:\/\/schoolnews.com.ng\/nysc\/approved-senate-list\/\">approved senate list<\/a>; missing names are an institution-side problem and take time to fix.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Foreign-trained graduate?<\/strong> Register in the same window and book your physical verification slot on the portal; bring original certificates, transcripts and travel documents.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Missed Batch B Stream 2 camp?<\/strong> If you were mobilized but could not report, you are not automatically moved forward &mdash; contact NYSC through your institution about revalidation into the next batch.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Not on this senate list?<\/strong> You cannot register in this window. Fix your records with your school now so you make the next batch (2027 Batch A, usually January).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>NERD Clearance: The New Mandatory Step<\/h2>\n<p>Since 2025 Batch C, every prospective corps member must be cleared on the <strong>National Education Records Database (NERD)<\/strong>, run by the Federal Ministry of Education, before NYSC registration. NYSC repeated this for 2026 Batch C: &ldquo;NERD clearance is compulsory for all PCMs. No NERD clearance, no NYSC registration.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>What it is:<\/strong> your final-year project, thesis or dissertation is uploaded to the national database and verified; you get a clearance slip with a unique credential number.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Where:<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/ned.gov.ng\/onboarding\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">ned.gov.ng\/onboarding<\/a> (create an account), then log in to upload. The 2026 Batch C window is <strong>7&ndash;13 September 2026<\/strong>; the Batch B window ran 12 March&ndash;11 April 2026.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Call-up letters<\/strong> &mdash; deployment is released and you print your call-up letter from the portal (or collect it at your institution if you didn&rsquo;t pay for online printing).<\/li>\n<li><strong>Orientation camp<\/strong> &mdash; the three-week camp on the dates in the calendar above.<\/li>\n<li><strong>PPA, CDS and clearance<\/strong> &mdash; the rest of the service year, ending with <a href=\"https:\/\/schoolnews.com.ng\/nysc\/pop\/\">POP<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2>NYSC Camp Registration Requirements 2026<\/h2>\n<p>The documents below are mandatory. Ensure you bring them along to the NYSC camp.<\/p>\n<h3>Final-year ID card<\/h3>\n<p>You must bring your original final-year ID card and two (2) copies to the NYSC camp. Stop by your school&#8217;s Directorate of Students&#8217; Affairs and ask for a &#8220;final year ID card.&#8221; Most schools issue a student identification card, which NYSC also accepts.<\/p>\n<p>Please take note that NYSC does not recognise departmental ID cards.<\/p>\n<h3>Statement of result (B.Sc or HND)<\/h3>\n<p>You must provide your original statement of results along with photocopies. Do not travel to camp without it &mdash; you will not complete registration.<\/p>\n<p>Foreign-trained graduates must show their original certificates. If you attended a polytechnic, bring both your ND and HND statements of results.<\/p>\n<p>Prospective corps members (PCMs) in healthcare professions (doctors, pharmacists, optometrists, etc.) must also bring proof of completed internship or housemanship and a valid certificate from their professional council (e.g., MDCN, Pharmacy Council).<\/p>\n<h3>NYSC call-up letter<\/h3>\n<p>Bring the original of your call-up letter and four photocopies. It becomes available on the portal a few days before camp opens. Do not laminate it &mdash; camp officials will reject a laminated call-up letter.<\/p>\n<h3>NERD clearance slip<\/h3>\n<p>Bring a printed copy of your NERD clearance slip (with its credential number) alongside your registration documents. Camp officials are checking it against the database.<\/p>\n<h3>NYSC green card<\/h3>\n<p>The green card is the print-out slip from your online registration. Bring the original and four (4) photocopies, printed in colour. Do not laminate it either.<\/p>\n<h3>Recent passport photographs<\/h3>\n<p>Bring eight (8) copies of your passport photo with a white or off-white background.<\/p>\n<h3>Medical certificate of fitness<\/h3>\n<p>Bring two (2) copies of a medical certificate of fitness issued by a government or military hospital in Nigeria.<\/p>\n<h2>What If My Name Is Not on the Senate List?<\/h2>\n<p>If your name is missing, it is usually an institution-side issue. Contact your school&#8217;s Directorate of Students&#8217; Affairs to correct your records before registration closes &mdash; your school then forwards the corrected list to NYSC.
