Nigerian students apply through the Embassy of Japan in Abuja.<\/p>\n<h2>Scholarship Benefits<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Full tuition waiver (entrance examination, matriculation, and tuition fees)<\/li>\n<li>Monthly allowance: 143,000 yen (research students), 144,000 yen (master&#8217;s), 145,000 yen (doctoral)<\/li>\n<li>Round-trip economy-class airfare<\/li>\n<li>Additional 2,000-3,000 yen\/month for designated regions<\/li>\n<li>Heating allowance of 3,000 yen\/month (November-March) in colder regions<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Eligibility Criteria<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Must be a citizen of a country with diplomatic relations with Japan<\/li>\n<li>Born on or after April 2, 1991 (generally under 35)<\/li>\n<li>Hold a bachelor&#8217;s degree or expect to graduate before arrival in Japan<\/li>\n<li>Willing to study the Japanese language and engage with Japanese culture<\/li>\n<li>Physically and mentally healthy<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>How to Apply<\/h2>\n<p>Nigerian applicants must apply through the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ng.emb-japan.go.jp\/itpr_en\/edu.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Embassy of Japan in Nigeria<\/a>. Do not send applications directly to MEXT in Japan.
