Collaboration among Universities will gradually remove limits to education growth in Nigeria. This statement was made by the Vice Chancellor Ekiti State University (EKSU), Prof. Samuel Oye Bandele while receiving a delegation from National Open University Nigeria (NOUN), Ekiti Study Centre in his office recently.
Prof. Monioluwa Olaniyi, the Dean Faculty of Science (NOUN) and the leader of the delegation thanked the Vice Chancellor for making time to receive the delegation. The purpose of the visit was to further discuss a proposed partnership between EKSU and NOUN that will allow students from NOUN use EKSU Laboratory facilities every semester.
Prof. Olaniyi mentioned the Physic, Biology and Environmental science laboratories as those needed by the NOUN.
The Dean, Faculty of Science, Ekiti State University, Prof. L.K. Olofintoye stressed the need to map out timetables for the usage of reagents chemicals, space and logistics to forestall clash of usage by students of the two institutions.
Among the delegation from NOUN were Mrs. Silas Bosede (Director, Ekiti Study Centre), Mrs. Mercy Mumboh, Dr E.O. Bamidele, Dr Uduak Aletan and Mrs. Lorine Lucky.
A Memorandum Of Understanding (MOU) is expected to be signed after the necessary spadeworks.
