Federal School Of Surveying Oyo (FSS-OYO) is a monotechnic located in Oyo, Oyo, established in 1908. It offers the 6 programmes listed below. The JAMB national minimum for the 2026/2027 session is 150 — the college's own entrance exam and departmental cut-offs may be higher, so confirm with the school.

⚠ Federal School of Surveying, Oyo has ONE official domain — fss-oyo.edu.ng — with sub-portals admission.fss-oyo.edu.ng, applications.fss-oyo.edu.ng and portal.fss-oyo.edu.ng. Ignore look-alike ".com"/".org" sites and blog "application form" pages that ask you to pay them; they are unofficial aggregators, not the school. Never pay an "agent" or a WhatsApp contact promising guaranteed admission — the school does not sell admission, and only the official screening fee paid on the school portal is legitimate.

Programmes Offered at FSS-OYO 6

  • Surveying and Geoinformatics (ND, HND)
  • Cartography and Geographic Information System (GIS)
  • Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing
  • Computer Science
  • Postgraduate Diploma in GIS (PGD GIS)
  • Professional Diploma (PD)

Entry Requirements

For the National Diploma (ND) you need five (5) O'level credit passes (SSCE/NECO/NABTEB, not more than two sittings) including English Language, Mathematics and Physics, plus any two of Further Mathematics/Statistics, Technical Drawing/Fine Art, Economics/Government, Biology/Agricultural Science, Chemistry, Geography or Land Surveying. Sit JAMB UTME (English, Mathematics, Physics + one relevant subject) and make Federal School of Surveying, Oyo your first choice, then pass the school's Post-UTME screening. The JAMB national minimum is 150, but departmental cut-offs are often higher — confirm with the school. Note: for the 2024 UTME the school announced a minimum of 140 for ND screening eligibility — this was session-specific, so always check the current session's figure on the official portal rather than relying on last year's number.

For HND: a relevant ND (e.g. Surveying and Geoinformatics) at minimum Lower Credit plus one year post-ND industrial attachment (an ordinary-pass ND needs at least two years post-ND experience). For PGD (GIS): a relevant HND at minimum Upper Credit plus NYSC discharge/exemption and computer literacy.

FSS-OYO JAMB Cut-off Mark (2026/2027)

The JAMB national minimum for the 2026/2027 session is 150. This is the lowest score to be considered; the college also runs its own entrance examination, and departments frequently set higher cut-offs, so always confirm the current mark for your course with the school.

How to Apply

Register for JAMB UTME and select Federal School of Surveying, Oyo as your first-choice institution, then upload your O'Level result to your JAMB CAPS profile (this is free). Next, complete the Post-UTME screening application on the school's own admission portal at admission.fss-oyo.edu.ng or applications.fss-oyo.edu.ng (both linked from the official site). HND, Professional Diploma and PGD applicants apply directly on the school portal — no UTME required. Track your admission status on the student/admission portal.

Stay safe: only pay fees through the official school portal — never pay an agent or a "guaranteed admission" contact, and O'Level upload on JAMB CAPS is always free.
