About
The Society for Underwater Technology grants several scholarships annually to reward high-achieving students and provide specific monetary assistance to enable them to finalize their studies and begin their careers in the field.
Applicants are open to all kinds of backgrounds that are related to offshore (or ocean) technology, ranging from underwater technology, marine and ocean science, underwater robotics, renewable energy, offshore and subsea infrastructure, and metocean, etc.
Eligibility
- Applicants need to be full-time students and either in the last two years of undergraduate studies or studying in post-graduate courses in Semester 1 of the following year at an Australian tertiary institution.
- Applicants working full-time in the first half of the following year are ineligible.
- Postgraduate candidates need to possess a first degree in a relevant engineering or science field and have registered in a postgraduate course of study connected to offshore engineering, marine science or underwater technology.
- Undergraduate candidates must have received the necessary go-ahead to begin to their last or second year of their degree course in 2025.
- Scholarship applicants must be enrolled in full-time education.
