Carleton Prestige Scholarships

About

Carleton University’s highest awards are the Prestige Scholarships, awarded to exceptional incoming undergraduate students with an admission average of 90 percent (90%) or higher/better.

One application form is used for all the Prestige scholarships.

Please note that if the deadline date lands on a weekend, the application must be submitted the first working day after the deadline date.

Eligibility

You will be considered for the Prestige scholarships only if:

• You are entering Carleton University directly from high school or CEGEP.
• You have an admission average of 90% or better/higher.
• You have demonstrated leadership roles in your extracurricular activities throughout community or secondary school.

Note: Only candidates with no previous attendance at a post-secondary educational institution (college or university excluding CEGEP) will be considered. Students must be pursuing post-secondary studies for the first time.

Additional Information

Here is the list of the Prestige Scholarships and their values:

1. The Chancellor’s Scholarship: $30,000 ($7,500 x four years).
2. The Richard Lewar Entrance Scholarship: $21,500 ($6,500 in the first year and $5,000 in the second, third, and fourth year).
3. The Carleton University Scholarship of Excellence: $20,000 ($5,000 x four years).
4. The Carleton University SHAD Scholarship: $20,000 ($5,000 x four years).
5. The Jay Woo and CAA Scholarship: $20,000 ($5,000 x four years).
6. The Riordon Scholarship: Full tuition in first, second, third, and fourth year.
7. The Collins Prestige Scholarship: Full tuition in first, second, third, and fourth year.

Please note the following information:

1. The Prestige Scholarships are renewable, with an annual GPA of 10.0.
2. The full tuition in the first, second, third, and fourth year is capped at Canadian domestic full tuition fee amount.
