About
The Destination Australia program is a scholarship sponsored by the Australian Government Department of Education and is committed to the Australian goal for International Education 2021-2030.
The aim of the grant is to encourage and assist bright minds to study in regional Australia and also to improve and help regional Australian tertiary education bodies and provide students with great learning experiences. The aim of the scholarship is to provide students from Australia and overseas the chance to access high-quality education, training and research and to enjoy life in regional and remote Australia.
Eligibility
You are:
- are an international student
- have a student visa for the scholarship’s timeframe.
- a freshman
- UQ alumni starting another program (for instance, a Master’s after completing a Bachelor’s degree)
- have an unconditional admission offer to study an eligible program delivered entirely at the UQ Gatton campus in 2024 (you don’t need to accept your full offer by the scholarship application deadline).
- will study full-time through Internal study mode at UQ’s Gatton campus for the scholarship’s timeline
