The Japanese Government MEXT Scholarship is one of the most prestigious government-funded scholarships in Asia. It covers research students, masters, and doctoral candidates at top Japanese universities. Nigerian applicants apply through the Embassy of Japan in Abuja.

Eligibility

Must be a citizen of a country with diplomatic relations with Japan. Generally under 35 years of age. Must hold a bachelors degree or expect to graduate before arrival. Willing to study Japanese language.
