About
Quick answer: The NNPC/SNEPCo scholarship has two tracks. The National University Scholarship gives Nigerian undergraduates ₦250,000 a year from second year until graduation, and the Postgraduate Scholarship fully funds a one-year Master’s at a UK partner university (University of Aberdeen and Newcastle University). Both are free to apply via Scholastica.
Eligibility
- Undergraduate: Nigerian citizen, 200 level in a federal or state university, NUC-accredited course (STEM preferred), CGPA of at least 3.5/5.0, and not a beneficiary of any other oil & gas scholarship.
- Postgraduate (UK): aged 21–28, a UK Upper Second-Class (2:1) equivalent degree, and NYSC completed.
Additional Information
Apply free on candidate.scholastica.ng — nobody is ever asked to pay. The last undergraduate window (2025 awards) closed on 29 August 2025; the postgraduate UK Master’s round closed on 8 June 2026. As of 6 September 2026 no 2026 undergraduate call has been published on Scholastica. The scheme runs yearly, so watch the portal (and this page) rather than blogs quoting dates from other companies’ schemes. Related schemes on the same portal: NNPC/Chevron JV and Agbami — you may hold only one oil-and-gas scholarship at a time.
