About
The University of Waikato offers the International Excellence Scholarship to support talented international students enrolling for the first time in undergraduate or postgraduate programmes. This scholarship is awarded to students who demonstrate outstanding academic achievement and have strong potential to become global ambassadors for the University.
Eligibility
To be eligible, applicants must:
- Apply to enrol full-time in an undergraduate or postgraduate programme as a new international student at the University of Waikato.
- Hold a conditional or unconditional offer of a place, including pathway offers for degrees packaged with preparatory programmes such as:
- Certificate of Attainment in English Language
- Certificate of Attainment in Foundation Studies
- Certificate of University Preparation
- International Diploma (Business or Computer Science)
- Diploma of Postgraduate Preparation (Pre-Masters).
- Have a minimum B+ GPA equivalency in the qualification used for admission.
- Not currently be enrolled at the University of Waikato or have paid fees at the time of application.
- Not be coming through a sponsoring body, Guaranteed Credit Arrangement, or under a study abroad or student exchange agreement.
