The Students’ Union Government (SUG) of the University of Jos (UNIJOS) has released an important advisory. This comes as students prepare to return for a new academic session.
According to the union, there will be a daily restriction of movement across Jos, Plateau State. The restriction will run from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. As a result, students are strongly encouraged to plan their journeys carefully. This is to avoid delays and possible complications.
Students Urged to Adjust Travel Plans
In the official notice, the SUG emphasized early travel arrangements. The statement was jointly signed by President Younglan Talyoung Tongpus and Secretary Vincent Philip Yisa.
“Students are advised to move out early from their various locations to avoid being caught within the restriction period,” the statement said.
Furthermore, the union advised students coming from far distances to be strategic. Breaking the journey into two parts was suggested as a safer option.
This approach, according to the union, will help students arrive on time without stress.
