The university, owned by Deeper Life Bible Church, promotes holiness. Chancellor Pastor W.F. Kumuyi leads it. Prof. Samuel Oye Bandele serves as Vice-Chancellor. He previously headed Ekiti State University. Furthermore, he has led three universities.

Ceremony Highlights and Theme

Prof. Bandele spoke at the ceremony. He encouraged focus on studies. Students should behave well everywhere. He praised their choice of Anchor University. It “is a community founded on godly values, moral discipline and academic excellence.”

The theme was “Rasing godly new generation graduates in a faith-based university in Nigeria”. He congratulated the new students. They must stay committed. In addition, dedication to studies is key. Lawful activities matter too.

The university offers competent staff. It has God-fearing personnel. Facilities are good. The environment is conducive. These equip students with knowledge. Skills and character develop here. Graduates become responsible. They fit any discipline.

Advice on Freedom and Goal-Setting

Students enjoy freedom as young adults. However, restraints apply. Rules guide conduct. Everyone follows regulations. Prof. Bandele urged goal-setting. Pursue goals diligently.

Life’s top road is rough. It demands sacrifice. Efforts are needed to climb. Students should run patiently. Fear of God helps win. Furthermore, set clear aims.

Warnings Against Vices and Call for Excellence

Prof. Bandele cautioned against bad acts. Shun fighting and drug abuse. Avoid cultism and hooliganism. Examination malpractice is forbidden. Indecent dressing too. The university tolerates no vices. Sanctions follow breaches. Expulsion may occur.

Anchor University upholds faith principles. It follows holiness and righteousness. These come from Deeper Life Bible Church. And from Chancellor Kumuyi. “And that is why you are expected to pursue excellence all around by attending every fellowship and spiritual gathering expected of you, being punctual in class, at meetings and also respecting constituted authorities and the elders,” he stressed.

Society has bad behaviors. Illicit affairs among youths prevail. Deeper Life preaches righteousness globally. Holiness is key. The school preaches the same. No pretense needed.

The VC stated, “We all need to jointly raise well-behaved and Godly fearing children that will be problem solvers and not problem givers to the society.”

Prof. Bandele urged parents to support. Do not lag in duties. Help train children. Make them relevant. Society benefits before graduation. Therefore, partnership is essential.
