The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has issued an important clarification on the ongoing O’level result upload exercise, following confusion among admission seekers.

According to the Board, the directive to re-upload O’level results applies only to candidates who sat for the 2025 WAEC examinations. This follows WAEC’s recent release of a modified version of the 2025 results, which made the re-upload necessary.

In a statement on X (formerly Twitter), JAMB reiterated:

Attention! This is to reiterate that the ongoing O’level result upload is strictly for candidates using the 2025 WAEC result. Consequently, if you have previously uploaded the initially released 2025 WAEC result, you are required to re-upload.

Who Must Re-upload?

  1. Candidates who wrote 2025 WAEC and previously uploaded the initial version of their results on CAPS. If you’re with 2025 WAEC result and you’ve not uploaded your result please go and upload it.
  2. They must revisit any accredited JAMB CBT centre or service point to upload the modified 2025 WAEC result.

Who Is NOT Affected?

  • Candidates who uploaded 2024 WAEC results or results from earlier years (no need to re-upload). That is, if a candidate has already uploaded his/her result, then he/she need not re-upload it again.
  • Candidates who uploaded NECO results or other valid O’level results on CAPS (no need to re-upload).

JAMB emphasized that the move aims to ensure admissions for the 2025/2026 academic session are processed using the most accurate and updated results.

Candidates have been cautioned to avoid patronizing unauthorized cybercafés or agents and should only use approved JAMB CBT centres to prevent errors and avoid being exploited.

This clarification should put an end to the confusion over who needs to re-upload their results, ensuring that only affected candidates take the necessary action.
