The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) “unequivocally warns that any centre which failed the ethical or technical standards , regardless of ownership, will be blacklisted.”
Speaking through the Public Communication Advisor Dr. Fabian Benjamin, the examination body equally lauded the exceptional performance of 883 Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres.
The Five Delisted CBT Centres
According to Dr. Fabian Benjamin, “the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has delisted the following five Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres that have failed to meet the stringent technical standards required for the ongoing Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
1. Adventure Associate, Behind Sheshe Supermarket, Off Hadejia Road, Kano, Kano State.
2. Saadatu Rimi College of Education, Zaria Road, Naibawa, Kano, Kano State.
3. Penta M & F Technical Services Ltd, Centre 2, 96km Sokoto-Jega Road, Tambuwal.
4. Penta M & F Technical Services Ltd, Centre 1, 96km Sokoto-Jega Road, Tambuwal.
5. Soronara Ventured Nigeria Limited Foundation Road, Umudagu Mbieri, Mbaitoli, Imo State.”
Candidates are Advised to reprint their examination notification slips immediately
JAMB gave a new directive to candidates that are affected as a result of this disciplinary measure. They said “Candidates who were previously scheduled to take their exams at the delisted centres are urged to urgently reprint their examination notification slips to access their new centres and rescheduled dates. We regret any inconvenience this may cause, but we will not tolerate excuses by candidates who fail to reprint their slip to get their new schedules.”
Impressive Crackdown on Impersonators
Taking the battle against exam Malpractices to the next level, the examination body reported that 27 impersonators were arrested. They said that “in a significant crackdown, 27 impersonators have been apprehended and handed over to the Nigeria Police for immediate prosecution.”
The JAMB spokesman gave report of the examination progress thus far; he said “as of Friday, 25th April, 2025, over 900,000 candidates have successfully completed the UTME out of the 2,083,600 registered for the 2025 examination.” This represents over 43% of the total registered candidates excluding those that completed theirs yesterday (Saturday).
