The University of Ilorin (UNILORIN) has officially activated its online registration portal for the 2025/2026 Post‑UTME and Direct Entry screening exercise. According to the university’s Director of Corporate Affairs, Mr Kunle Akogun, registration opened at 00:01 hr on Monday, July 28, 2025, and will close at 00:00 hr on Sunday, August 10, 2025.
Eligibility Requirements
1. Must have selected UNILORIN as your first-choice institution during the 2025 UTME or via Direct Entry.
2. UTME candidates must score at least 180 on the JAMB examination.
3. Direct Entry candidates must possess a relevant NCE, HND, IJMB, or equivalent qualification.
4. All candidates must have five (5) O’Level credit passes in relevant subjects (including English Language and Mathematics), in not more than two sittings. For certain programmes (e.g. Medicine, Pharmacy, Computer Engineering, Optometry) only one‑sitting results will be accepted.

Visit the Official Portal https://portal.unilorin.edu.ng/ug/candidate/ and follow the steps below:

STEP 1 Click on “VERIFY YOUR DETAILS” to verify your information.
Complete the displayed fields (e.g. JAMB Registration Number, email address and phone number).The surname and first name are automatically displayed for confirmation.
NOTE: ensure you supply your personal and active email address and phone number; this will be used in further communications. If the response is “No match for the details provided” it means your data is not yet on the portal, check back later.
STEP 2 Click on Proceed button to go to Remita platform (you can pay with card, transfer, USSD, bank or QR code).
Note: Do not Refresh your browser while the payment process is ongoing to avoid multiple deductions from your account. If unsure, please wait for some hours for the possibility of getting a debit alert from your bank. If you have problems with your previous payment, click on “CONFIRM YOUR PAYMENT” then enter your JAMB Registration Number and validate the payment. You can resend login after successful payment validation.
STEP 3 Upon successful payment, candidate login is automatically sent to the email address provided.
STEP 4 Upon successful payment, visit the login page, enter your JAMB Registration Number and password and click ‘login.’
STEP 5 click on My Application button and complete all necessary details;
STEP 6 click submit button at the end of the form when you are sure all information have been accurately provided.
Admission Scoring
UNILORIN’s admission aggregate is composed as follows:
- UTME/DE score: 50%.
- Post‑UTME screening score: 30%.
- Best five O’Level subjects: 20%.
Critical points to note
Candidates should note the following points:
1. Only first‑choice candidates qualify for registration.
2. Changes to course or programme must be made on JAMB CAPS—not on the UNILORIN portal; the university updates automatically until the registration deadline.
3. Avoid refresh/re-entry during payment to prevent duplicate charges—only ₦2,000 should be levied.
4. Verify that the O’Level results on JAMB CAPS match what’s uploaded on the UNILORIN portal to avoid disqualification.
5. Errors in submitted data will lead to automatic disqualification.
