The solemn ceremony, attended by the Ogunsua of Modakeke, Oba Joseph Olubiyi, marked a significant milestone in the region’s educational development .

A Cutting-Edge Curriculum

Aligned with Osun’s Vision for Education

Governor Adeleke, represented at the event by the Commissioner for Information, Mr. Dipo Eluwole, emphasized the institution’s place within the state’s broader educational and youth empowerment agenda:

The establishment of a university here in Modakeke is a milestone achievement, which aligns with our drive to boost the educational sector. While congratulating you once again, I charge you to ensure that this proposed university becomes one of the best in Nigeria — both academically and culturally.”

Investing Through Partnerships

Founder of Curators University, Mr. Olusola Amusan, highlighted the importance of strategic collaboration in realizing the institution’s potential:

“We expect that there are structures we can build through public-private partnerships. For the university, there are education endowment funds, there are Federal Government funds, and in the area of loans, specifically, we believe that to get cutting-edge education, there’s a cost attached, and sometimes it could be premium.

Our goal is to support the community and all our students through such partnerships — whether private or government — to ensure they can access the education we are providing here.”

A Vision for Innovation and Societal Impact

Barrister Abimbola Amusan, Chairman of the Groundbreaking Planning Committee, shared the project’s ambitious scope:

“We envision this land transforming into a global academic and innovation hub that will empower youth, create jobs, and spark economic growth for generations to come.”

Oba Joseph Olubiyi also made a poignant appeal to diaspora communities:

He called on indigenes of the town in the diaspora to emulate the initiative of the founder by giving back to their community.
