The Federal University of Lafia (FULAFIA) has directed all undergraduate students to pay their school fees and other prescribed charges for the second semester of the 2025/2026 academic session on or before Friday, July 24, 2026.
The university also instructed students to collect their examination cards before the end of July 2026, warning that failure to comply could affect examination clearance and other academic processes tied to fee verification.
School Fees Payment Deadline
According to an internal memorandum issued by the Academic Affairs Division on July 15, 2026, every undergraduate student must complete payment of school fees and all other approved charges before the July 24 deadline.
The university advised students to make payments early to avoid last-minute delays that could interfere with the processing of their examination cards.
Examination Card Collection
FULAFIA stated that all undergraduate students are expected to obtain their examination cards on or before July 31, 2026.
Since examination cards can only be processed after payment has been successfully confirmed, students were urged to complete their financial obligations well ahead of the deadline.
NELFUND Beneficiaries Must Pay First
The university clarified that students benefiting from the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) are not exempt from the payment requirement.
Beneficiaries are expected to pay the prescribed fees and obtain their examination cards within the approved timeframe. According to the memorandum, this will enable the university’s Bursary Department to process refunds for eligible NELFUND beneficiaries after payment has been verified. Students are also advised to keep their payment receipts and other relevant documents for future verification.
What Students Must Do
To avoid disruptions to their academic activities, undergraduate students should:
- Pay school fees and all prescribed charges by Friday, July 24, 2026.
- Obtain their examination cards before the end of July 2026.
- Keep payment receipts and supporting documents for clearance and verification.
- NELFUND beneficiaries should also complete payment to facilitate the processing of applicable refunds.
Memorandum Signed by Academic Affairs Division
The directive was contained in a memorandum issued by FULAFIA’s Academic Affairs Division on July 15, 2026. It was signed by Mustapha Hanafi-Idiaro, Deputy Registrar, Academic Affairs Division, on behalf of the Registrar, with a directive that all affected students comply strictly with the stated deadlines.
Final Note
July 24 payment deadline is just days away, FULAFIA students are encouraged to complete all required payments as early as possible. Prompt compliance will help prevent delays in examination card issuance and ensure a smooth examination clearance process. This will also allow eligible NELFUND beneficiaries to receive their refunds once processing begins.
