The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has officially released the 2026 UTME Original Result Slip for candidates nationwide.
The development marks another important stage in the 2026 admission process, as candidates prepare for post-UTME screening and admission consideration by tertiary institutions.
Candidates can now access and print their Original Result Slips through JAMB’s approved channels.
JAMB Confirms Availability of Result Slip
In a statement issued on Wednesday, JAMB announced the availability of the document and urged candidates to obtain their copies promptly.
The Board stated:
“Dear Candidates and Stakeholders,
The 2026 UTME Original Result Slip will be available for printing within the next two hours today, Wednesday, 17th June,2026.
The Original Result Slip contains the candidate’s photograph, national ranking, and other security features. It is part of the official document required for post-UTME processing and consideration by tertiary institutions.
Candidates can conveniently print their Original Result Slip from any internet-enabled device, whether at home, inthe office, or at accredited business centres.
Candidates are advised to verify all details on the slip immediately after printing and keep a copy for future admission-related purposes.”
The statement was signed by Fabian Benjamin, JAMB’s Public Communication Advisor (PCA).
What the Original Result Slip Contains
Unlike the basic UTME score notification, the Original Result Slip contains additional details required for admission processing.
These include the candidate’s passport photograph, national ranking, and other security features used for verification purposes.
As a result, many universities, polytechnics, and colleges require the document during post-UTME registration, screening, clearance, and admission verification.
Furthermore, the security features help institutions confirm the authenticity of candidates’ records.
Candidates Advised to Print and Keep Copies
Meanwhile, candidates are encouraged to print their slips without delay. They should carefully verify all personal information and examination details after printing. Any discrepancy should be reported through the appropriate JAMB channels.
In addition, candidates should keep both electronic and hard copies of the document. This may prove useful during screening, clearance, and other admission-related procedures.
With the Original Result Slip now available, candidates can proceed with the next stages of the 2026 admission exercise.
