COAST Lafia Announces Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) Admission for 2026/2027 Academic Session

The College of Agriculture, Science and Technology (COAST), Lafia, Nasarawa State, has commenced the sale of application forms for admission into its Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) programmes for the 2026/2027 academic session.

The admission exercise is open to suitably qualified candidates seeking to advance their academic and professional knowledge in agriculture and related disciplines. Applications are currently being received through the institution’s admission portal.

Available Postgraduate Diploma Programmes

Interested applicants may apply for any of the following PGD programmes:

•  Agricultural Economics
• Agricultural Extension and Communication
• Agronomy (Crop Protection Option)
• Agronomy (Crop Science Option)
• Agronomy (Soil and Water Management Option)
• Animal Science
• Aquaculture and Fisheries Management
• Home Science and Management

Admission Requirements

To be eligible for admission, candidates must satisfy the following requirements:

1. Possess a minimum of five (5) O’Level credit passes, including English Language, Mathematics, Biology/Agricultural Science, Chemistry, and Physics, obtained in not more than two sittings.

2. Hold at least a Third Class Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university in a relevant field of study.

3. Possess a Higher National Diploma (HND) with a minimum of Upper Credit in Agriculture or a related discipline from a recognized institution.

4. Candidates with Lower Credit at the HND level may also be considered, provided they possess relevant post-qualification work experience.

5. Holders of other academic or professional qualifications deemed acceptable by the College Academic Board may be considered for admission.
