The Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) has announced the relocation of its headquarters to a permanent site in Abuja, a move the management says will not disrupt ongoing services to students nationwide.
In a statement released on Thursday, the Fund disclosed its new office location:
“We’ve moved! From September 5, 2025, NELFUND’s new headquarters will be at: House 12, Plot 103/104, Monrovia Street, Wuse 2, Opposite Bon Hotel, Abuja.” The management further advised that:
“All official correspondence, visits and inquiry should kindly be directed to House 12, Plot 103/104, Monrovia Street, Wuse, opposite Bon Hotel Abuja, Federal Capital Territory, Nigeria.”
Uninterrupted Services Assured
While announcing the relocation, NELFUND assured students and the general public that the change of address would not affect operations.
“Please note that all our services remain fully active and uninterrupted during this transition,” the agency stressed.
Reiterating its mandate, the Fund stated: “This relocation will not interrupt our services in any way. NELFUND remains fully operational and committed to its mandate of providing affordable education loans and support to Nigerian students across the country.”
The agency also confirmed that its website and verified social media platforms remain unchanged and should be used for communication.
Commitment to Education Financing
The Fund, established under the Students Loans (Access to Higher Education) Act of 2024, has been instrumental in expanding access to education financing. Since its launch, billions of naira have been disbursed to eligible students and institutions.
By moving to a permanent headquarters in Abuja, stakeholders say the agency is signaling its long-term vision of stability, growth, and stronger collaboration with federal institutions, schools, and the private sector.
In her closing remarks, Mrs. Oseyemi Oluwatuyi, Director of Strategic Communications, said:
“We appreciate your trust and continued support as we work to expand access to higher education financing nationwide.”

Analysts believe the relocation could further strengthen NELFUND’s capacity to deliver on its promise of equitable and affordable loans for Nigerian students. Particularly at a time when rising tuition costs threaten access to higher education.
With the new permanent base in Abuja, the agency has assured that its mission remains unchanged. Giving every Nigerian student a fair chance to pursue higher learning without financial barriers.
