The management of the University of Delta (UNIDEL), Agbor, has announced the commencement of applications for its 2026/2027 Post-UTME screening exercise.
According to an official statement signed by the Registrar, Dr. (Mrs.) Esther I. Akpojuvie, “the online registration portal opens on 25th May 2026 and will close on 15th June 2026.”
The exercise is open to suitably qualified UTME and Direct Entry candidates seeking admission into the university’s various undergraduate programmes.
Eligibility Requirements for Applicants
Prospective candidates must satisfy the university’s admission requirements before proceeding with registration.
Applicants seeking admission into Medicine and Surgery (MBBS), Nursing Science, Medical Laboratory Science, and Law must have scored a minimum of 230 in the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
For all other programmes, candidates are required to obtain at least 150 in the UTME.
In addition, applicants must possess a minimum of five credit passes in relevant subjects in SSCE, NECO, or GCE O’Level examinations obtained in not more than two sittings.
Candidates must also be at least 16 years old by September 30, 2026, in line with the admission policy of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB).
Furthermore, applicants must have selected UNIDEL as their first-choice institution or successfully completed a change of institution to the university through JAMB.
Direct Entry Admission Conditions
Direct Entry candidates are eligible to apply provided they possess recognised diplomas or degrees quality-assured by the National Universities Commission (NUC), National Board for Technical Education (NBTE), or National Commission for Colleges of Education (NCCE).
However, the university clarified that “there will be no Direct Entry consideration for Medicine and Surgery, Nursing Sciences, or Medical Laboratory Sciences.”
How to Apply for UNIDEL Post-UTME
The university has divided the application process into two stages: account creation and payment validation. Candidates are advised to complete each stage carefully to avoid delays in processing their applications.
The Post-UTME application fee is ₦2,000 only.
Stage One: Account Creation
Step 1: Visit the UNIDEL application portal and click on “Register for Application” at the top left corner of the page.
Step 2: Enter your surname exactly as it appears on your JAMB UTME registration slip.
Step 3: Provide your JAMB registration number and a valid email address.
Step 4: Click on “Send Credentials to Email Address.”
Step 5: Check your email inbox for your Application ID and password.
Step 6: Open the confirmation email sent by KOFA and click the verification link provided.
Step 7: Log in with the credentials received via email.
Step 8: Click on “Edit Application Record” and complete all required personal and academic information.
Stage Two: Payment and Application Submission
After completing the registration form, candidates should proceed with payment using the following steps:
Step 9: Return to the login page and sign in using your Application ID and password.
Step 10: Click on “Edit Application Record.”
Step 11: Scroll to the bottom of the page and select “Add Online Payment Ticket.”
Step 12: Click on the generated Payment ID.
Step 13: Select “CollegePAY” at the top of the page.
Step 14: Carefully review the information displayed on the confirmation page.
Step 15: If the details are correct, click “Submit” to proceed to the Interswitch payment gateway.
Step 16: Select the Transfer Option as your preferred payment method.
Step 17: Complete the payment and wait for successful validation.
Step 18: Once payment is confirmed, click “Submit” to finalise the application process.
Step 19: Print your completed application slip and keep it safely for future reference.
Important Information for Applicants
Candidates are advised to use active email addresses throughout the registration process, as important updates will be communicated electronically.
Applicants should also ensure that all information supplied matches the details contained in their JAMB and O’Level records.
In addition, candidates are encouraged to complete their applications early to avoid network congestion and other last-minute registration challenges.

The university stated that the online application portal will close on June 15, 2026.
Meanwhile, the date for the Post-UTME screening exercise will be announced later through the institution’s official communication channels.
