AFIT Extends Post-UTME Registration, Sets New Deadlines for 2026/2027 Admission

The Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT), Kaduna, has extended the deadline for its 2026/2027 Post-UTME screening exercise, offering prospective candidates another opportunity to complete their admission requirements and participate in the institution’s admission process.

The extension also applies to candidates who intend to change their first-choice institution to AFIT through the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) portal.

The institution announced that candidates seeking admission into its degree and National Diploma programmes must take note of the revised application schedule and ensure all requirements are completed within the stipulated period.

Revised Admission Schedule

According to the updated timetable;

(a). 31 July 2026: Deadline for candidates to change their first-choice institution to AFIT through the JAMB portal.

(b). 8 August 2026: Deadline for the completion and submission of the online Post-UTME screening application.

Prospective applicants are advised to complete all necessary processes before the respective deadlines, as late applications may not be considered.

Key Requirements for Applicants

To qualify for the screening exercise, candidates must ensure that AFIT is selected as their first-choice institution on the JAMB Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS) on or before 31 July 2026.

Applicants are also required to upload their O’Level results; WAEC, NECO or NABTEB to the JAMB portal and complete their registration on the AFIT admission portal before the application window closes.

Failure to upload O’Level results to JAMB CAPS may affect admission processing, even where other requirements have been fulfilled.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates applying for degree programmes must have scored at least 200 in the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), while applicants seeking admission into National Diploma programmes must possess a minimum score of 160.

Applicants are encouraged to carefully review programme-specific requirements and ensure that all submitted information is accurate and up to date.
