The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has officially reopened the portal for uploading 2025 WAEC (WASSCE) results, easing the registration process for this year’s Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) candidates.
In a brief but crucial notice posted on its official X account (formerly Twitter), JAMB stated: “Dear UTME candidates, this is to notify you that upload of the 2025 WAEC result has been reactivated. Kindly visit any of our accredited facilities near you to access the service. Thank you.”
Why This Matters
The upload of O-level results, particularly WAEC or NECO, is a mandatory step for UTME candidates. JAMB relies on these results to verify academic credentials before proceeding with the Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS) for university, polytechnic, or college admissions.
Candidates should also note that the upload is not just a routine requirement. SSCE grades form one of the key parameters considered by JAMB and tertiary institutions in granting admission.
