NYSC Mobilization Timetable

As a prospective Corp member, you have to ensure that you satisfy specific pre-mobilization requirements, e.g., getting a medical fitness certificate, ensuring your university or academic institution has cleared you and getting a valid ID card from your school.

To register for the NYSC scheme, you have to complete a registration form via the Internet and choose your preferred state for service. The next step after registration is undergoing biometric verification at your school.

Parts of the NYSC Mobilisation Timetable

The NYSC mobilisation timetable is organised into several stages that provide the schedule of the activities and events. The stages comprise pre-mobilization, mobilisation, orientation, primary assignment, community development service (CDS), and passing out parade (POP).

Furthermore, the timetable gives you a complete schedule of events like registration deadlines, documentation, and clearance requirements.

NYSC Camp Registration Requirements 2024

The documents stated below are mandatory. Ensure you bring them along to the NYSC Camp.

Final year ID card

You must bring your original final-year ID card and two (2) copies to NYSC camp. Stop by your school’s Directorate of Students’ Affairs and ask for a “final year ID card.” Most schools issue a student identification card, which NYSC also accepts.

Take note that NYSC is unable to recognise departmental ID cards.

Statement of result (B. SC or HND)

You must provide your original statement of results along with photocopies. It is crucial that you bring this document with you when you go to camp, so make sure to do so. It is of no use for one to travel to camp without a statement or certificate.

Foreign students must show their original certificates. You have to submit your ND and HND statements of results if you attended a polytechnic.

Prospective corp members (PCMs) in healthcare professions (doctors, pharmacists, optometrists, etc.) need to travel to the NYSC camp with proof of their completion of an internship or housemanship and a genuine certification from the Nigerian Medical Council, Pharmacist Board, or Optometrist Registration Council.

NYSC Call-up letter

This is very important—you must never, ever forget your call-up letter! You have to take the original of your call-up letter and four photocopies with you to NYSC Camp. NYSC will send this letter a few days after you have registered.

P.S:

Officials at the camp won’t accept a call-up letter that has been laminated, so don’t do it.

NYSC Green card

Don’t forget to bring your green card, please. Take along the original and four (4) photocopies. Green Card is the online print-out slip that you have to print after the NYSC online registration. Avoid laminating it as well!

You have to print the coloured copies of the green card and the call-up letter.

Recent passport photograph

You have to bring eight (8) copies of your passport photo to camp. The passport’s background must be either off-white or white.

Medical Certificate of Fitness

You must bring two (2) copies of a medical certificate of fitness issued by any government hospital or military clinic in Nigeria along to the NYSC camp.

What will I do if my name is not on the Senate List

Your name not showing up on the Senate list might be the result of an error. If you observe this, kindly get in touch with your university to rectify it before the end of registration.

Once they have the right particular, your school will send the correct list and forward it to NYSC for quick resolution of the issue.

Conclusion

The National Youth Service Corps is a compulsory one-year program for all Nigerian graduates. Its goal is to foster national cohesion, harmony, and integration by sending young graduates to many areas of the country for service.

The NYSC mobilisation timetable remains an element of the scheme that you have to pay attention to. In this article, we covered the latest mobilisation table.
