NYSC Mobilization Timetable 2026 | Approved Batch A, B & C (Stream 1 & 2)

Quick answer: 2026 Batch C online registration is open from Monday 7 September to Sunday 13 September 2026 on the NYSC portal — one week only. You must hold a NERD clearance certificate before you can register (NYSC: “No NERD clearance, no NYSC registration”), and your name must be on your institution’s Senate-approved list. The Batch B Stream 2 camp ended on 25 August 2026. Batch C camp dates are not yet official. The full 2026 timetable is below.

When Is the Next NYSC Batch?

The next batch is 2026 Batch C. NYSC announced on 28 August 2026 that online registration runs Monday 7 – Sunday 13 September 2026. Senate lists were uploaded in late August; the registration window is the stage running now. The most recent camp — 2026 Batch B Stream 2 — ran 5–25 August 2026 in all 36 states and the FCT.

NYSC has not published Batch C camp dates. Blogs are circulating 23 September – 13 October 2026 for Stream 1 from a “tentative” timetable; treat that as planning guidance only until NYSC posts it on the portal.

What to do now:

• Registering for Batch C this week? Get your NERD clearance first (see below) — the portal will not let you complete registration without it. Then confirm your name is on your institution’s approved senate list; missing names are an institution-side problem and take time to fix.
• Foreign-trained graduate? Register in the same window and book your physical verification slot on the portal; bring original certificates, transcripts and travel documents.
• Missed Batch B Stream 2 camp? If you were mobilized but could not report, you are not automatically moved forward — contact NYSC through your institution about revalidation into the next batch.
• Not on this senate list? You cannot register in this window. Fix your records with your school now so you make the next batch (2027 Batch A, usually January).

NERD Clearance: The New Mandatory Step

Since 2025 Batch C, every prospective corps member must be cleared on the National Education Records Database (NERD), run by the Federal Ministry of Education, before NYSC registration. NYSC repeated this for 2026 Batch C: “NERD clearance is compulsory for all PCMs. No NERD clearance, no NYSC registration.”

• What it is: your final-year project, thesis or dissertation is uploaded to the national database and verified; you get a clearance slip with a unique credential number.
• Where: ned.gov.ng/onboarding (create an account), then log in to upload. Many institutions route students through accredited NERD agents/centres — ask your Students’ Affairs office which applies to you.
• What you need: soft copy of your project/thesis, statement of result or certificate, NIN, a passport photograph and a working email address.
• Cost: accredited agents charge a processing fee (about ₦10,000 has been widely reported); NERD itself does not publish a fixed fee, so confirm the amount at your centre and do not pay anyone promising to “fast-track” NYSC.
• Timing: clearance can take minutes to several days depending on verification load — do it before the registration window, not on the last day.

NYSC 2026 Mobilization Calendar (Batch A, B & C)

Dates below are only “official” once NYSC publishes them. Camps run simultaneously in all 36 states and the FCT.

Note: the Batch B Stream 1 camp in Niger State was postponed (the Paiko orientation camp suffered storm damage) — affected corps members were camped 7–27 July 2026 at the NYSC permanent orientation camp, Kubwa (FCT), instead.

How NYSC Mobilization Works

The mobilization timetable is organised in stages, and each batch passes through the same sequence:

1. Senate list upload — your institution submits its Senate/Academic Board approved list to NYSC. Check the senate list guide.
2. NERD clearance — upload and verify your project on the National Education Records Database and print the clearance slip (mandatory since 2025 Batch C; details above).
3. Online registration — you create a profile on portal.nysc.org.ng, pick your preferred states, and (for foreign-trained graduates) book physical verification. The 2026 Batch C window is 7–13 September 2026; the Batch B window ran 12 March–11 April 2026.
4. Call-up letters — deployment is released and you print your call-up letter from the portal (or collect it at your institution if you didn’t pay for online printing).
5. Orientation camp — the three-week camp on the dates in the calendar above.
6. PPA, CDS and clearance — the rest of the service year, ending with POP.

NYSC Camp Registration Requirements 2026

The documents below are mandatory. Ensure you bring them along to the NYSC camp.

Final-year ID card

You must bring your original final-year ID card and two (2) copies to the NYSC camp. Stop by your school’s Directorate of Students’ Affairs and ask for a “final year ID card.” Most schools issue a student identification card, which NYSC also accepts.

Please take note that NYSC does not recognise departmental ID cards.

Statement of result (B.Sc or HND)

You must provide your original statement of results along with photocopies. Do not travel to camp without it — you will not complete registration.

Foreign-trained graduates must show their original certificates. If you attended a polytechnic, bring both your ND and HND statements of results.

Prospective corps members (PCMs) in healthcare professions (doctors, pharmacists, optometrists, etc.) must also bring proof of completed internship or housemanship and a valid certificate from their professional council (e.g., MDCN, Pharmacy Council).

NYSC call-up letter

Bring the original of your call-up letter and four photocopies. It becomes available on the portal a few days before camp opens. Do not laminate it — camp officials will reject a laminated call-up letter.

NERD clearance slip

Bring a printed copy of your NERD clearance slip (with its credential number) alongside your registration documents. Camp officials are checking it against the database.

NYSC green card

The green card is the print-out slip from your online registration. Bring the original and four (4) photocopies, printed in colour. Do not laminate it either.

Recent passport photographs

Bring eight (8) copies of your passport photo with a white or off-white background.

Medical certificate of fitness

Bring two (2) copies of a medical certificate of fitness issued by a government or military hospital in Nigeria.

What If My Name Is Not on the Senate List?

If your name is missing, it is usually an institution-side issue. Contact your school’s Directorate of Students’ Affairs to correct your records before registration closes — your school then forwards the corrected list to NYSC. Full details and common causes are in our approved senate list guide.

Do not pay anyone who promises to “influence” your posting or “upgrade” your deployment — those offers are scams.

How much does NYSC registration cost?

The portal charges about ₦2,786 during registration — this covers online printing of your call-up letter (otherwise you collect it physically at your institution). If you register at a cyber café, expect a separate service charge on top. Confirm the current amount on the portal itself before paying.

Can I do NYSC after age 30?

If you graduate after your 30th birthday, you receive an exemption certificate instead of serving. If you graduated before turning 30, you can be mobilized at any age.
