The management of Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko (AAUA), Ondo State, has commenced the sale of application forms for admission into its Pre-Degree Programme for the 2026/2027 academic session.

The university invited applications from suitably qualified candidates seeking admission into the one-year programme, which is designed to provide academic preparation for prospective undergraduates. Successful candidates may subsequently seek admission into the university’s degree programmes, subject to their academic performance, proper counselling, availability of spaces and other admission requirements.

Programme Runs for One Academic Session

The AAUA Pre-Degree Programme is structured to run for one academic session. Candidates are expected to receive intensive preparation in relevant subjects while developing the academic foundation required for university-level studies.

However, completion of the programme does not automatically guarantee admission into a degree programme. The university stated that Pre-Degree students must register for and sit the 2027 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and obtain the minimum score prescribed by the university before they can be considered for undergraduate admission.

Candidates who successfully complete the programme will also undergo appropriate academic counselling before seeking admission into their preferred degree programmes. Admission consideration will depend on their performance and the availability of spaces in the relevant programmes.

Available Subject Combinations

English Language is compulsory for all Pre-Degree students. Candidates are also required to select a subject combination based on their intended academic area.

The available options are grouped into Arts, Biological Sciences, Physical Sciences and Social Sciences.

Physical Sciences

Prospective applicants are advised to select a combination that aligns with their intended undergraduate course and future admission requirements.
